XXXenophile is Phil Foglio's critically-acclaimed x-rated comic series, published chiefly from 1988 to 2000. It has a large readership of both men and women, which is unusual for an adult comic. It was even nominated for an Eisner award, one of the comics industry's most prestigious honors! It's fun, happy, and VERY X-rated.

Dead-tree issues of the original Xxxenophile comics are out of print and sell for far too much money on eBay, but never fear: in 2026, Discordia Publishing is bringing it back! The Kickstarter is over but you can still get a copy here:

The Xxxenophile stories also appear on the adults-only webcomic site: SLIPSHINE!

In addition, the stories are now available as PDFs. As always, please don't bother with them unless you are 18 or older, and live in an area where such things are legal.

The Books: XXXenophile Comics and The XXXenophile Collection

The original XXXenophile stories were published as regular newsprint comic books. There were 11 issues.

The original XXXenophile material (from issues 1-11) was gathered into The XXXenophile Collection: Volumes #1-5. Volume Six of the XXXenophile Collection came later, and contains just one long story: Heart of Stone. This 64-page book was never published in comic form.

In addition to the professionally printed work, we also made an ashcan collection: XXXenophile Quick & Dirty. This little book features the 6-page story that later inspired XXXenophile Collection #6: Heart of Stone, flanked by 14 pages of saucy pin-ups.

All of the collections and comics are out of print. They are still occasionally to be found on eBay, in online stores, and in the occasional comic or book shop. Please note that, although the books are out of print, the copyright on the material is still in effect.

Electronic Editions of the XXXenophile Books

The XXXenophile Game

In the 90's, we published a XXXenophile Trading Card Game. It is now completely sold out, but can occasionally to be found on eBay and the like.

For all of you who complained that you loved the XXXenophile Trading Card Game but couldn't find anyone to play with because of the naughty pictures, take heart! James Ernest over at Cheapass Games used a similar game mechanic for the card game Girl Genius: the Works. This is a happy candy-colored play-right-out-of-the-box game about mad scientists instead of a naked trading card game, but it's lots of fun. And yes, a clever group of gamers with a set of house rules could indeed play the two sets of cards together.

There was also a set of XXXenophile ButtonMen, which we no longer carry.
